B.Min Jewelry

Category: Namsayin

It’s not everyday you think about what jewelry to put on, but for Brandon Minato he’s the type of designer that WANTS to make you jewelry to put on daily. I’ve know Brandon for acouple years and we both grabbed some coffee (guess where) to catch up. He’s been doing amazing designs as of lately and he’s doing it mainly for the northwest. Now alot of you out there that follow Namsayin may not be hip to the jewelry game, but with proper knowledge you sure will. Brandon gave me a crash course on what he’s been doing and the kid is busy. With some pieces on the fence for some ball players to selling some of his pinky rings for over $7,000; his custom jewelry game is no joke.

Brandon told me that his jewelry is special. We’d like to think alot of jewelry is, but alot of jewelry today is manufacture to a consumer’s convenience. In that way those that “got it like that” can just walk in and swoop on a 3ct diamond for his/her boyfriend’s ex’s baby mama husband wife type of dude/girl relationship. Brandon designs each piece special for you. He wont sit there and convince you to what you SHOULD like. If you love it, it’s done. Here’s a sample of one of his rings with his ionic logo. 14k White Gold w/ vvs1 diamonds.

The pictures above don’t do his work any justice. Seriously the weight and the beauty / quality of the diamonds are sick. By trade Brandon’s a jewelry designer, a gemologist and is one that might just replace Ben Baller’s clientel. Currently he’s working on a piece for owner, Chakara of Rock Paper Scissors. Can’t wait to see it in person and can’t wait to see what the outcome of his design is for our project. hehehe (insert sneaky laugh)

Be on the look out for more updates of B.Min and if you want to follow him / get some bling bling or would like something special message him on fb HERE. He’s a cool dude. So don’t be afraid to ask him for some pieces.

B.O.T.M: Zlogblog Zach’s RADIO FIXIE

Category: Namsayin

Zloggy, Zach Bossington, Mr. Fixed gear of Seattle…..the nicknames can go on. This year’s first Bike of the Month had to go to Zach from Zlogblog. Zach has been riding for a good 4 years and with a huge following behind his blog, it’s only right that we do it right in 2012. Aside from riding his ill Radio, Zach is a avid track rider as well as a one man sniper when it comes to business. As owner and operator of his blog he’s currently developing his own graphic t-shirt line as well a bunch of hats in the works. I’m sure if you’re into the fixie community that you’ll recognize his logo. Now if you don’t know, we’ll now you know, namsayin. Be sure to check out his blog ZLOGBLOG.

Alive and Well

Category: Namsayin

A new skate boutique / shop has opened up in the heart of Capitol Hill. Alive and Well is here to offer the skate community and streetwear community what they need. We went to their offical opening last night to check out the action and I’d have to say that the place is put together nicely. From the wooden themed walls and front checkout counter to their skate decks and merch, this boutique store is definitely a destination spot. Here’s some pictures of last nights shinanagans. We’ll have a more in depth story on owner’s Marcus, George and Steve later, namsayin.

The Studio / Rappers & Cameras

Category: Namsayin

Last week, Geo from the Blue Scholars and Thig Natural from The Physics put on a lil photo show to display their works. The event was held in their new studio and since we missed it, we decided to stop by and check it out. The studio is pretty snazzy and it’s only a mattter of time before they put out another set of bangers for your listening pleasure. In fact, they’ve been working on some new material to be released before spring/summer. Be on the look and look at these photos. Namsayin.

Geo’s photowork is pretty impressive, so impressive that someone bought a photo, hence the missing space.

Not alot of shaking, but lots of polaroid pictures. A tradition to those family / friends that stop by the studio.

Can’t forget about Thig’s work too. Real cool. Check out more of his work here.

The studio.

Vinyl, something that not alot of people collect these days.

Tapes. Something only very few collect these days.

Namsayin Winter 2012 Collection

Category: Namsayin

We’ve stretched our legs this year and it’s primarily because of our cold winters forcing us to, but it’s here: Namsayin 2012 Winter Collection. We wanted to make it a colorful Winter season with all the grey clouds and white frost. For our mens we have a handful of tees and 2 hoodie colorways to choose from. For our ladies, we have also 2 women’s vnecks and 2 hoodie colorways as well. Also, can’t forget our beanies w/ our new Namsayin logo. We wanted to keep the collection fairly simple. Thanks to our photographer/technical director :Terrance Jeff Santos for the photowork. Also to our two models, James and Alena. Last, but not least thanks to Terry Eng and Al-Michael Franco who make things happen. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! We’re set to launch via our Onlineshop tomorrow at 2pm. Thanks for those that have supported us through our first year and now we’re on to more action!

Our Night Ride hoodies are a favorite from our fall season, so we wanted to introduce more colorsways. Available in turqoise/black/reflective and grey/purple/reflective.

Our shirt selection was inspired by of course the things we love: our Seattle community, bicycle culture and anything that makes us say Ughhh!

Our “Know Where You Came From.” 107 Skyway shirt.

For our bicycle savvy friends, Namsayin Bicycle Seal. Available Grey/Black and Purple/Reflective

Cars, Bicycles, Money, Sushi and Boobs. Ughhh! Make em say Ughhh! Available in black and white colorways.

Also to keep your dome nice and warm is our uni-sex beanies. Available in grey or black.

Can’t forget the hoodies/vnecks for the ladies. Available in Grey/hot pink/reflective and Turqoise/purple/reflective. Our women’s vnecks are simple and features our “N” logo in reflective ink.

Thanks again to everyone that participated. Tomorrow everything will be available on our onlineshop. Stay tuned!!!!!!

Wish it was still snowing

Category: Namsayin

The snow is gone, but the memories for some of us here at Namsayin can say, “Man. I haven’t experienced a snow fall that crazy in hella.” And thats becaucse majority of us here were born in the 80s. Seattle was hit hard, but that didn’t stop cyclist and us from moving around the city. We made moves, but we didnt make snowmen. Here’s some photos of some of the action. Mysteriously, someone wrote some stuff on the trunk of my car.

Stopped by to check out HELLO BICYCLE, fellow cyclist, Ryan and his studded tires. Pimp decision purchase.

And the mysterious snow graffiti.

…….yep.

Snowmagedon is coming.

Category: Namsayin

You’d be real gangster enough to either drive your fixed up ride or ride fixed tonight. It’s suppose to be a record breaking night when it comes to snow fall. 9 to 12 inches. This hasn’t happened since 1985. Stay warm friends or put on a snuggie. Namsayin.

Yup. That’s 6 inches already. Now imagine a footie on top of that?

Starting to dump. I can’t wait for tomorrow. I’ll be sure to update with some images. Being in the sun about 300 days out of the year has made me appreciate the beauty of the NW winters. Snowboard/Skiing season is looking pretty solid this year. Powder action for sure.

Feel like relaxin’? Go ahead, lay out and relax. Go ahead, it aint cold. Till next time. Stay warm my friends. Namsayin.
