If you haven’t heard or felt it by now, Seattle reached an official record setting high of 103 degrees shattering the previous record of 100. It was hot as fack… so decided to head over to the homie Tangkens AIR CONDITIONED Condo in Bellevue and also take a dip in the pool.

Awww I miss my Sonics…

All aboard! This past weekend the Sound Transit started their new light rail in Seattle Central Puget Sound.  Yes I know we’re a little behind, but like they say- better late than never. It took the city about five years to get this far and at the final end may be costing over $2 Billion to build. By the end of this year the light rail will connect from SEA-TAC airport to downtown.  There are plans to expand it all the way up north and to Tacoma in the near future…now that will be very exciting!

Since I work in downtown and one of the light rail stops is near by I decided to check out this $2 billion dollar project.  I have to say I’m pretty impressed with it.  The ride is smooth and the city of Seattle has definitely cleaned up a lot of the areas the link passes.  The only thing that I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t even decrease my commute time by that much. However, I do get a better view than staring at all the traffic on I-5 and all the jerking motions has stopped completely. A really cool thing they did was put some flashing cards while in the tunnel getting to the Beacon Hill Station…look carefully.

I’m thinking this will be my new joyride to and from work from now on…come and take a ride with me…
